Math

THIS IS A ROUGH POST FOR THE PURPOSE OF QUICKLY SHARING VIDEOS. IT WILL BE CLEANED UP AND EDITED IN TIME….

Playing a math game with James @ 2 years to introduce quantity

It is long but this is a typical 15 minute math lesson with James when he was a little over 2 years old. Like most 2 year olds you can see that he doesn’t like to always sit still, but he also requests more and has fun.
II do 3 math games with James. The second game starts at about 8 minutes and the third games starts at about 10:33.

First Equation which he did about 2 months after his prior video.

MathStart Books.  Activity based on the book A pair of socks by Stuart Murphy.

First time counting with a counting chain I made. Until now, we had always de-emphasized counting and focuses of subtitizing.

We are currently using Right Start Math as our spine. I want James to have a good solid understanding of math.

We also use Level 1 ‘Math Start books by Stuart Murphy to help reinforce concepts.

We play many math games and use math apps on the iPad for fun.

Thought I would just add some random Math pictures. I wish we were able to take more but it is hard to teach and hold a camera all the time.

And Finally… Some older math videos from when James was about 18 months
